Welcome

First and foremost, thanks for visiting our website and purchasing Charley Brown’s Backburner Chili Spice.  Let me introduce myself.  I am Scott Brown, son of Charley Brown.  In 2020 my wife Collette and I decided to bring this amazing chili spice to everyone.  We now have it professionally blended locally through Vann’s Spice Company in Baltimore, Maryland. 

With regard to the recipe- I would encourage you to follow the recipe on the enclosed card for your first batch.  It will look like a lot of spice, but the flavor components are wonderful.  You may use any meat you like.  I use 80/20 ground beef, but have made the chili with every meat imaginable as well as meat substitutes.  They all taste great!

After your first batch adjust the quantity and spice level to your liking.  Add more beans if you prefer.  Corn adds a nice sweet taste.  Have fun!

We have found many other uses for the chili spice.  We keep it in a shaker on our table and shake it on all kinds of foods.  It makes a great dry rub for pork, chicken, steak, venison and even fish.
