Charley Brown’s Backburner Chili

Our Classic Chili Recipe

Feed a crowd with Charley Brown’s classic chili recipe using our seasoning pack and other traditional ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs Ground Beef

  • 1 Charley Brown’s Backburner Chili Seasoning Pack (1 Cup)

  • 1 Medium Onion, Diced

  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced

  • 1 28 oz Can Whole Tomatoes, Crushed by Hand

  • 2 Cup Chicken Broth

  • 1 15 oz Can Tomato Sauce

  • 1 6 oz can Tomato Paste

  • 1 16 oz Can Chili Beans with Sauce

  • 1 Bottle Favorite Beer(Guinness is Recommended) or 12 oz Chicken Broth

Preparation:

  1. Brown beef, onion and garlic in dutch oven or large pot

  2. Add seasoning packed during last 5 minutes of browning

  3. Add beer(or chicken broth) to deglaze pot

  4. Add Remaining Ingredients and bring to a slow simmer

  5. Reduce heat and cover with lid slightly ajar

  6. Simmer on low for 2 hours, stirring frequently

  7. Enjoy
